Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Development / Multisnipe disabled

It seems that a special function in JBidwatcher is not working.

I have made a suggestion to go an easier way here:

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Development / Zoombie articles that cannot be deleted

Sorry – this does not help.
I deleted the complete path of jbidwatcher and started again.
It is the same.

Maybe the problem is that i try to use a different configurations for different users?
I am starting JBidwatcher with a little script that uses a different configuration and path for different ebay accounts:

cd /home/desktop/ebayuser/jbidwatcher
java -jar /usr/local/bin/JBidwatcher.jar /home/username/ebayuser/jbidwatcher/JBidWatch.cfg —usb

Maybe i should better create different linux user for the different ebay user?
Then i have the chance that different JBidwatcher can run parallel …

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Development / New ability for Multisnipe?

It’s really nasty that there is no function for multisnipe any more. :-(

When you want to bid on an article in multiple autions you can’t be sure that you win more than one (or needed).

The needed function is only to group multiple entries and the possibility to enter how much you want to snipe of them.
When you have won the needed number of auctions in this group the bidding will stop for the rest of entries.

It would be great if this functionality could be implemented!

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Development / Zoombie articles that cannot be deleted

I have a problem to delete articles.
After a new start of JBidwatcher some old articles will be placed in the window again.
Even if i delete them all and choose "clear deleted tracking’ they will come up again after the next restart.

After delete some remains as empty holes on the screen like zoombies.

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Development / (bug) 2.5.5-0-g9fecd73 - persistent 100% CPU utilisation under some circumstance

I have the same problem running in Linux on my server.
Sometimes the JBIdwatcher process takes 100% of one CPU for nothing and does not react any more.

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Development / New ability for Multisnipe?

Actual no Multisnipes are possible. :-(
“multisnipes is disabled in this version, as the underlying high-bidder detection code isn’t currently working”

From my point of view such a high-bidder code isn’t needed!
There must be only a detection if an auction has been won.

Normally it is not wise to try to bid nearly simultaneously for different articles.
So the articles should have ending times that have bigger spaces than the bidding will take.
With this condition it is possible to have easy multisnipes for more than 1 article.

So just group all the articles together into one group and store how much of them should be sniped.
Just like in this software: http://esniper.sourceforge.net/

JBidwatcher will snipe for each article in the group with it’s limit until it has sniped as much articles it should buy.

This would be a great functionality.
Thanks.

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Development / Bug (2.5.5-0-g9fecd73): Give up sniping without reason

JBidwatcher (2.5.5-0-g9fecd73)

Jbidwatcher gives up sniping for an article.
The article runs until tomorrow, but jbidwatcher moved it to complete.

Sending the bid back to current will not let me snipe again for it.
“You cannot place a snipe on an ended auction”

I have a screenshot of it.
How can i post it?

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / Captchas

I also have the problem on ebay.de now.
But i did not add or watch many articles.

I can login without captcha when i use Firefox manually.
But using JBidwatcher i get the captcha problem.

It would be also interesting to run JBidwatcher on my server using VNC.
But i have on my server the same problem. Generally i have the captcha problem there.

I think that ebay is tracking which client you normally use for ebay access.
If you try to logon with a different client the captchas are activated.
So sniping can be inhibited.

Is there a possibility to let JBidwatcher look like Firefox?
