Is it possible to rename tabs? Maybe through a command in the Advanced configuration, or even editing a text file? |

Just now all images loaded…this after about 30 mins of not working. Had just loaded a new auction into a multi-snipe, at first its image didn’t load, then all did. |

Some auction images don’t load (but there is an image when viewed on the eBay page). This MIGHT happen only to newly loaded auctions, not sure of a pattern though. Refresh auctions doesn’t help. Not a big deal of course. |

Sometimes I like to use a program on multiple computers, for instance, at work and at home. This use is not simultaneous. When the program’s file(s) or database(s) are in a single directory, and the program allows the files or databases to be moved, I use Dropbox. I move the files/DBs to a Dropbox folder which is shared and synced on both computers. Then whatever changes I make at home, for instance, are automatically synced to the work computer, and I can continue there with no interruption. I believe this could work with JBidwatcher, but want to check here to make sure. Has the developer or anybody else tried this? Even if it’s easy to share JBW’s files and DBs, there is the problem that multiple machines would probably make multiple, simultaneous snipes. Probably something could be worked out using a lock file and AutoHotKey, but this makes it more complicated. |

I followed richardh’s earlier advice to install both 32- and 64-bit java on a Win7 x64 OS. Once I did that JB seems to work normally. |

I am building an experimental airplane (RV-9A for those interested), and bought a number of the specialty tools on eBay using JBidwatcher. I missed some good auctions at first mostly from operator error, but got the hang of it and sniping is definitely the way to win. It used to irritate me no end when I lost to a snipe. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em, so I did. Thanks Morgan! Also today I posted my first ever eBay sale (an older GPS), and use JB to keep an eye on competing sales of the same item. |

(1.0.3pre2) The latest problem is with multisnipe. When the time came to fire the snipe, it did nothing…and a look at the Info had a message about a previous bid in the multi group had not been updated, thus it refused to fire. First, it wasn’t at all obvious what previous bid supposedly hadn’t been updated. They looked good to me. Second, why wait until the last few seconds to tell me this?? Like the bad password problem I posted about earlier, maybe I’m doing something wrong, but this sort of thing can and should be discovered long before the snipe tries to fire. |

Morgan, thanks. It’s important to have several bids already, indicating good interest in the item and thus probably being out-bid with your test-snipe. Any item will do, so long as it’s moderately priced and has a following. |

OK, never mind…I had the wrong password! But it does bring up another point. I was fooled for days in thinking it was logging in correctly because it said it retrieved the login cookie. Couldn’t it test immediately if it can login or not, instead of waiting ’till the last seconds—literally—at a snipe? Thanks! |

OK, I tested against auction 150194149783. It didn’t work and this is the Information: Thu Dec 13 20:03:03 PST 2007: Preparing snipe. (1) This is part of the Last Error page, |

“If you do a seller-search for ‘test-jbidwatcher-sales’, those are some test auctions that I’ve listed to be able to test the bidding features of JBidwatcher.” Can’t find these anymore, did eBay remove them? I guess I could still test by bidding on something with some activity far in advance, like several hours, to try to ensure I won’t win. |

I have the identical complaint, though for USA eBay. I’ve never enjoyed a successful attempt at sniping. Listing ended at |
