Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / icon

Hi, Simply right click on the file you downloaded (I’m assuming you are using Windows) and select “Send To” and them “Desktop as a shortcut”. An icon will then be created on your desktop. If you can’t remember where you downloaded Jbidwatcher then simply download again and make a note of the folder you save it in. Hope that helps.

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / where is 1.0.3pre?

Hi, It’s in the JBidwatcher Help Forum under the topic “Bidding apparently failed for an unknown reason”
http://forum.jbidwatcher.com/forums/1/topics/1102 . It seems you have to run Version 1.0.2 first and then you can use version 1.0.3pre1. If you upgrade fromany other version it 1.0.3pre1 doesn’t work! Anybody know why?

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / Dutch auctions and JBidWatcher

Hi, In Dutch Auctions the winning price is the LOWEST bid by any of the winners. ie In the auction you bid on your maximum bid was the lowest bid of the three winners (the other two had bid the same or more than your bid) so the bidding ended at your max (as it was the lowest bid). You can always tell what the lowest bid is in a Dutch Auction as it’s the price that the auction is now at. So if nobody but you had bid in this auction you could have bid the next minimum bid over 29.50 and still won. Hope that answers your question.

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / Max bids no longer appear

From this morning (Friday 31st Aug) maxium bids that I have placed on some items (appears ok if I’m the winning bidder) are no longer appearing in the “Max” column. I think (but have yet to prove) that this is applies only on items where I have bid via the eBay site (UK). Has anybody any idea how I can fix please?

Thanks

Comment Topic: Announcements / [Release] JBidwatcher 1.0.2 is now available!

Could it be due to the fact that if I login via UK i get “You are the current high bidder” but if I login via USA I get “You’re the high bidder and currently in the lead”?

I’m getting a similar problem – everytime I now snipe or bid via Jbidwatcher I get “Unkown error” but the bid or snipe goes through anyway, Anybody any idea what’s wrong?

Comment Topic: Announcements / New test version 1.0.2pre3

Sorry, I should have also mentioned that JBidwatcher is no longer updating the auctions, won’t add new auctions and all (FP) auctions over 7 days have a N/A in the time left.

Comment Topic: Announcements / New test version 1.0.2pre3

Hi, It looks like eBay (UK) have made more changes at 9:00 BST as I’m now back with a bad case of “Red Eye” in the status column. I’ve tried both 1.0.2pre2 & 1.0.2pre3 with the same result. Is it just me or Worldwide?
