Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP I just posted this is another thread – worth trying….. Guys, I’ve been reading this thread for some time, but since I didn’t have an account here I couldn’t respond. First I am using 2.5.2, and all my auctions have gone (FP) so I can’t snipe them. I tried the Beta version listed earlier, and it did not help. The problem is intermittent, sometimes things are fine, I use Firefox as my browser. I have an auction coming up that I didn’t want to miss, so I started playing around with things. I’ve gotten them to work right now, not sure if it’ll hold or not. Here is what I did: I opened JBW – all auctions come up (FP). I did Update Auction – no change, still (FP). I went to Ebay in my Browser (Firefox). Because of cookies, it shows me as logged in. So i clicked on the LOG OUT linki in the top left hand side of the page. Ebay logged me out. I went back to JBW and did Update Auction. (FP) went away, and I can now Snipe again. Now I don’t know what this tells us, or if it helps track down this issue. I wonder if it’s an issue with the cookie Firefox is using. Of course, this might only be a temporary fix. I’ll let you know. Might be interesting to hear if it works for others though. Maybe it doesn’t like being logged into from two places……….. |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP My setup (2.5.2) has flipped to ‘FP’ and back to ‘normal’ several times over the last 24-36hrs. The fixes suggested so far only seem to work sometimes for some people but not every time. Does anyone have an alternative explanation as to how my JBW setup can fix itself then break (all FP) then fix itself again hours later ? |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP wakou – thanks for the suggesstion. JBWuser’s ‘bid ignoring FP’ idea might allow us to carry on using JBW [sometimes] on days like this when ebay are making changes. |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP +1 to JBWUser, having something to ignore these FP errors in the first place would be very helpful. I’ve found the restarting trick works sometimes, but not always. I’m terrified of leaving home thinking I’ll miss out on stuff if the dreaded (FP) appears while I’m at work. |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP FPs on not completed auctions are back again! For example, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251139738230 is shown as FP. I just wonder, can we have an option ‘bid ignoring FP’ if this issue comes back again and again? |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP The new 2.5.2 shows now completed auctions as (FP), however they were regular auctions (I have a feeling, that the (FP) shows some times but some times not). Updating the auction did not solve the problem, returning to previous 2.5 did. Another problem with completed auctions is that they do not show the actual final result. For example, ebay 320966616622 was shown as completed with only 3 bids and corresponding price, not the 9 it actually achieved. Updating the completed auction in previous 2.5 also resolved that problem. |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP Regarding the buy-it-now status icon, it seems that it only appears for auctions where you can make an offer, like 170837326822. It does not appear for other buy it now auctions like 150380924914, 270748098093 BTW, wasn’t there a PayPal icon as well in the past? |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP It seems that it happens only on auctions where PayPal is available and when there is at least one bid (I am not fully sure about the last). “Update Auction” has no effect but restarting JBidwatcher fixes the issue for a while. I am using the GIT version from Aug 11, 2012. |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP Win XP SP3, freshly installed JBidwatcher 2.5.2. This morning most of the auctions showed (FP) again. ‘Update all auctions’ didn’t correct the problem, restarting JBidwatcher however did. |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP OS X, USA base, just ebay.com, updated to JBidwatcher (2.5.2-0-g8e3723d) Every FP showed up on my old listing that’s already in my database. I had no complication with the update, everything seems to be faster, smoother, thanks for the code. I also added some new items that’s FP, and they look fine also, but the Buy-It-Now Red B symbol does not show on every listings, only some of them, and I don’t know what the differences of those, as they are all with BIN price. Thanks for the update :D |

Topic: (Almost) all auctions showing FP ebay.co.uk: When 2.5.2 pulled the listings of my current tab for the first time, it FP’ed all items – sorry. Using JBidwatcher’s “Refreshing eBay Session” and then updating all listings made all FPs vanish. This indicates that EBay’s changes currently affect only a small number of servers: When JBidwatcher hits one of these it goes “FP” . Thus, an Ebay session refresh carries a high probability of JBidwatcher catching an Ebay server being not yet loaded with the new Ebay code. I guess Ebay is just testing things – a full roll out of new web pages used to take a week or so in the past. We might have to wait for this to happen in order to track down the issue – hunting for maybe 5 out of 100 servers making trouble won’t work. So, keep an eye on your listings approaching a snipe – when they turn FP just refresh the Ebay session and update the item. If necessary, repeat the two steps until FP is gone. |
