Topic: Not all watched items loaded Mine is doing the same thing. 2.0 Beta 11-736 only the 10 auctions ending soonest are detected. I have My eBay set to display 25 auctions. I also agree that this seems to have occurred when eBay went to the “new” format. I had about 75 watched auctions as of a couple days ago, and they all sniped successfully, but nothing new has been added for several days now to the jbidwatcher list. I can add auctions manually, and every time an item expires, a new item gets added to bring the total displayed back to ten. It would be great if I could schedule snipes beyond ten though. I’m guessing that something must have changed about the way eBay responds to queries from the web. I’m no programmer though. Thanks for the great app, and any fix that might emerge, xarxx |

Topic: Not all watched items loaded I have the same issue. Only 10 watched items are imported when using “Get My Ebay Items”. Before Ebay forced the new My Ebay on everyone, if I reverted back to the old version and opted out of the new version, the “Get My Ebay Items” would work flawlessly. Now as My Ebay only shows the first 10 items, it seems as that’s all that Jbidwatcher can see. |

Topic: Not all watched items loaded Update: This seems to be a simple ‘count’ issue and nothing to do with specific auctions. I deleted a couple of items from the start of my watch list and pulled down My eBay Items. JBidWatcher loaded the item that first failed on the previous load and one more but then stopped with the same error after 10 items had been loaded. Has a new setting been introduced that limits the number of items loaded? I can’t see anything under File -> Configure. I hope this helps. Dave |

Topic: Not all watched items loaded I see the same problem with beta 11. I’m running JBidWatcher under Windows XP Pro with JRE 6.0 Update 11. I have 50 items in my eBay watch list but only 10 get loaded and then JBidWatcher reports a communication error. If I manually add the auction that caused the parse error then it loads fine. Sun Jan 25 07:52:06 GMT 2009: Loading page 0 of My eBay for user vumad The first item that fails is auction 280303756452 If I subsequently try to re-load My eBay Itme I get: Sun Jan 25 07:54:40 GMT 2009: Not loaded (220347050119). |

Topic: Not all watched items loaded Hi. I’m using JBidWatcher 2.0 beta 11 on Linux with ebay.de (from Switzerland, but that shouldn’t matter, should it?). In My eBay, I’m right now watching 63 items. But when I click on eBay → Get My eBay Items in JBidWatcher, it only loads 10 items. On the terminal window, from where I started JBidWatcher, I see:
What’s going on there? Thanks, |

Topic: Has ebay broke it? (19 July 07) I’m running pre5 on OS 10.4.8 and things are looking very good. The excessive CPU usage issue has disappeared, no problem quitting and restarting JBW and I also ended up with a snipe situation today where JBW had to snipe on six auctions from the same seller all within 60 secnds. |

Topic: Has ebay broke it? (19 July 07) 1.0.2pre4 worked fine for me. I was able to snipe an auction last night. I’m on WinXP, BTW. However, just this morning, someone was able to change my password. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with JBidWatcher but just want to mention. |

Topic: Has ebay broke it? (19 July 07) pre4 working fine under Win XP (ebay Germany), although I spotted one error which hasn’t been mentioned here (as far as I could see), namely that shipping costs of newly added auctions no longer show up. Thank you so much for your great work, Morgan, I really appreciate it! Regards, |

Topic: Has ebay broke it? (19 July 07) Greetings, I’m guessing something in the data got ‘broken’ in the process, so when it’s trying to serialize out the data, it’s running into a ‘null’ value someplace where it shouldn’t. :( For krs99, it’s probably doing it’s half-hour auto-save, and failing, and dumping data to the log file obsessively. :( Here’s my real problem, though, I don’t know what data is wrong, so I don’t know what to fix! I need someone who’s having the problem to email me, directly (cyberfox at gmail), their auctions.xml file. The save file location is in JBidwatcher’s Configuration Manager, under the ‘Paths’ tab. It’s a pain to get to on the Mac, unfortunately, because Finder doesn’t usually view ‘.’ prefixed directories… Basically, I’ll need to load that auctions.xml file into a running JBidwatcher, and try to save it, to see where it’s failing. For what it’s worth, that file contains nearly everything that is in JBidwatcher, all the auctions, tabs, your username, and your encoded password, so I understand if few people are going to want to share it, but I hope someone will, so I can replicate the problem. I will only use it to figure out what the heck broke, and it’ll be wiped as soon as I’ve got a fix out. — Morgan Schweers, Cyber*FOX*! |

Topic: Has ebay broke it? (19 July 07) Just as a pointer: The same problem Martin Bürkel describes (http://forum.jbidwatcher.com/forums/1/topics/1034?page=5#posts-3159) occurs on my system. More details in http://forum.jbidwatcher.com/forums/9/topics/1042?page=2#posts-3176. Regards Stefan |

Topic: Has ebay broke it? (19 July 07) First the good news – pre4 version seems to be working fine for me, including sniping. I’m running WinXP Pro on a 2.66 GHz Pentium 4 in the US, and my Java version is 1.6.0_01-b06. No problem here with excessive CPU usage either, running around 2 to 5 percent with an occasional brief jump to 20. Big thanks to you Morgan for JBW! Now the not-so-good news – I cannot quit JBW normally, either with the window Close button or Quit on the Menu. Have to use Task Manager. Hey, what do I know, maybe this is a new feature, right? Why would anyone WANT to close JBW? A minor issue, so I’ll quit whining now … :-) |
