Eventually all the (News) will come out… it was GMAIL, YAHOO, then Target, Wallmart, KMart, eBay, and what do you think about Paypal? Thieves are smarter now, some are MBA graduate too. Why try to phish one individual spend so much time … now they are all hacking, and harvesting the “Servers”.

I read that highend hackers can breeze through https and it’s just a matter of time for everyone to figure out that a simple login with password is NOT secure.

As a general internet computer practice now-a-day, please change your password on a regular basis for all your logins, including email, banks, ebay, Paypal, etc. Should be done every 2-3 months, or if you suspect any fishy activities going on with any of your accounts….. EVEN your own WIFI network password, coz even my friend has a WiFi analyzer that can simply run and tell me the password of ANY WiFi network that’s in range (by Fluke).

I change my passwd in all ebay site I use.

But… since impossible to login correctly (of course I change also the passwd in configure) :

“The login did not cause any errors and delivered cookies, but was not clearly recognized as successful”

Can somebody help me ?

I changed my password yesterday on eBay

Then I login and it worked on eBay

Then I changed it on JBW and it tested and work well….

So, perhaps you want to reboot your computer (clear the cache and login etc.) and login to eBay from browser, and then try change JBW and Test again?

I think its not the problem (I use Ubuntu, not Winxx) but, its possible its a cache problem, I try immediately rebooting.

No reboot, better, restart (stop and start) dont resolve the problem !

I think that after we change the passwd (after his enormous “intrusion”), ebay use a new login (hidden) procedure.

eBay has significantly changed their layout AND had everyone change their passwords, a feature which is hard to get right with JBidwatcher. I’ll be working on this Saturday, i.e. tomorrow.

p.s. The reason password change is hard is because JBidwatcher tries to log in as soon as it starts up, and if it fails multiple times eBay can do very bad things like lock your account or put up ‘captcha’ which prevents login by tools like JBidwatcher. Combine that with a major layout change and it’s a recipe for serious problems.

2.5.5pre2, on my MacBook Pro running Mavericks 10.9.3 is, after a new password change, logging in, updating, accepting bids, and seems to be just fine.
