I know that multi-snipe is currently disabled in the latest releases, and has been for some time. Because of this, I’m still using JBW version 2.5.3pre3-2-g03a9bc3. I’m on Linux Mint 17.3 with Cinnamon DE (and loving it!).

The new feature I would like to see is the ability to vary the amount bid for each element in a multi-snipe. Imagine you really want a Widget from the early 20th century, and there are two available on eBay right now from different sellers. You only want one of these expensive widgets. One of them from seller A has really good photos showing what fine condition it is in, and it is a very good maker. The other from seller B has one fuzzy photo, and the maker is not named. You know that this would probably do, but you would rather have the other one, to the extent that you would pay double to secure that one. However, it will probably sell for more than you are going to bid, but you might just get lucky.

In this situation, you set up a multi-snipe. It doesn’t matter which comes up first, you will bid on both and the other snipe will cancel if you win the first. Both are entered at X dollars, and then you go to one and change the value to Y dollars. Now you are multi-sniping, but with two different values.

Can this be done please? (Once multi-sniping is working again).

Um, back when multisniping worked, that was already a feature. Say you’ve selected a bunch of auctions, and selected them, and set up a multisnipe. Now, go back and click on just one of them, and change the bid amount. There you go. That one auction in the multisnipe set now has a different bid limit.
