I run Window 7 Ultimate on my always-on home server and jBidWatcher on a remote desktop. The machine concurrently also has an always-logged-in local session running a home entertainment application (involves a windows dll hack to enable concurrent log-ins).

I observed, if I leave jBidWatcher maximised then disconnect the remote desktop session, sooner or later java.exe eats up all CPU cycles (100% utilisation); if I minimise jBidWatcher before disconnecting however this does not seem to occur.

Machine is an HP DC7900 with E8400 CPU and 6GB RAM.

I have the same problem running in Linux on my server.
Sometimes the JBIdwatcher process takes 100% of one CPU for nothing and does not react any more.
