I really love jbidwatcher, but I encountered a problem (since the last update). When adding an auction to my list, some will show “null(FP)” instead of the current price. As a consequence sniping is impossible.
It does not affect every auction, but every auction that does not use Paypal (which are quite a lot).

Is there a fix on the list, or is this a regional issue? I am using Ebay Germany.

I don’t see any issues like that on my end. I am using eBay USA main site, and I use Mac OS X.

What is your setup there?

Unfortunately it’s an international users issue; it’s auctions that are visible on non-US sites that are not mirrored on the eBay US site, which generally is items that don’t include PayPal as a payment option.

Well, i can second this problem to be happening to me for almost all my auctions here in Germany…

Do you have any kind of workaround or intend to fix that problem in the (near) future?

Same problem here (ebay.de). Can’t use jBidwatcher since several week. Emailed Morgan, no reply. Morgan, please tell us: Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Or is there at least a temporary work-around!?

P.S.: I’ve donated two or three times in the past….

You should probably take a look at this thread and grab that version; it’s unreleased, and unofficial, and mostly focused on performance improvements, but it’s looking more and more like that’s going to be the next version of JBidwatcher.

So you are aware: if you download that version and run it, it’ll claim there’s a ‘newer’ version (2.1.2) out; ignore that message, it’s just my crappy version-checking code.

This thread was about a different problem.

That said, if you can replicate the problem with 2.2pre1 I’d really like it if you’d look in your auctionsave/ directory for the item number that didn’t parse right and attach that to a support ticket.

In any case, there’s another thread where more folks had chimed in, so I’d prefer the conversation mainly stated over there so the most people can stay up to date.
