I started using Jbid about two weeks ago and I am very happy with the program. While most people seem to use Jbid for sniping, I find it’s search capabilities to be the main draw. I collect records and have found Jbid’s search capabilities to be fantastic. Already I’ve scored some great buy-it-now deals because Jbid allowed me to find auctions within one or two hours of their listing. Not to mention now I can save more than the 100 searches permitted by Ebay. Many thanks to the person or people behind this project !

now you made me want to try that search capability using JBW. I always use the eBay search … tell me, what type of deals do you find on Buy-It-Now listings? I normally find the BIN to be just normal deals, or reasonable price, but never a steal kind of deal… maybe I don’t search enough.

Great buy-it-now options are usually bought by the first buyer who stumbles across them and can foot the bill. I run searches through Jbid on an hourly basis so I often have the first chance to buy. I’m hunting thousands of different records so the probability of finding a great BIN deal is fairly high compared to an ebayer who is searching for a handful of items.

When I added a search, it returned with so many results, but some of them don’t match the search text criteria. For instances, MENS will find both MENS and woMENS polo shirts, and the word MEDIUM does not mean anything, as JBW is finding all kinds of sizes, and from all sellers and all formats.

How do I get only MENS, MEDIUM, and Buy-It-Now listings?

I used the Search Manager in JBW.
Thanks.

Try using the url upload feature. Copy the url of a specified search (e.g. a search in the mens medium polo shirts category) and put it in the search box. Now select “url upload” from the search type list.

Thanks. I got hundreds of the listings into JBW … man…

Usually I go to eBay, search, then make more selection from the left to eliminate such as non-USA seller, etc. then I will “select all” on the web page and drag into JBW and it will import all the listings (no other junk). I guess I can now use the URL and repeat the same search easily. Well, actually too easily, I think i will end up bidding and buying more stuff now… Geez …. weeez…omgeeeez
