HIGH LEVEL EBAY EMPLOYEE CONFIRMS JBWatcher BLOCKED!!!!
Tonight 11/06/2007, we spoke to an insider at ebay. She has confirmed that Ebay has enacted new security measures to block all sniping software. This has effected our bidding and we have lost some 30 auctions today because of this. This is a good time to share your stats, with the authors so they can get a fix out ASAP!! |

Greetings, The sky is not falling, at least not yet. eBay changed some formatting, but still bids okay. I haven’t tried sniping yet, just getting things back working. — Morgan Schweers, Cyber*FOX*! |

We spoke to our insider at ebay this morning. She states that the company has rolled back some login security formatting due I hope you can stay ahead or at least not far behind the new security settings ebay is trying to apply. |

Hah, maybe the trouble reporting in the forums had helped some bit :) So, everytime when eBay does any attack on JBW, we should should make a big fuss in the ebay forums ;-P |
Well we don’t care what ebay does….. The new release of JBW is working very well! 27 out of 27 snipes! all at 100% They (Ebay) has rolled back all of the new security measures as I stated in the help link! |
Well, there at least seem to be some parallels between ebay and HLS ;-) For me it’s clear that protest @ ebay have helped a bit, so we shouldn’t cu |
Sorry but I think ebay as changed something this is my last failed snipe report. What can I do? Thanks following jBidwatcher information: |
Little add to previous post: obviously, if I bid in manual, bidding go right. |
Is it possible that your access to the net was down at the those times when LBW reported communications failure? |

BID and CONFIRM Question I noticed that when in ebay a bid has to be placed -and then confirmed! – by clicking on another button. Does this affect jbidwatcher’s sniping!!! Or maybe does jbidwatcher automatically confirm the snipe bid? I’m just starting to use ebay again after a few years – now with jbidwatcher 2.0beta8 on my mac G4. Frank |

Greetings, Still, the answer is that yes, JBidwatcher automatically confirms its bids. In fact, for sniping, JBidwatcher retrieves the confirmation page about 2 minutes before the snipe time, so the only thing it has to do to place the bid in the last seconds is submit the confirmation form.
