New install of JBW2.99 : Can't access auction database

Hi,
I have been using JBW for quite a while, but no activities the last 1-2 years.
Had an auction I followed recently and thought using JBW is a good idea. I found out there is a new version of it yesterday and installed it on my computer (running Windows 7), but when I started JBW I got the error message:

JBidwatcher can’t access its database. Please check to see if you are running another instance.

But there is no other instance running.
Deleted JBW2.99; cleared all register entries from “JBW” contents; installed again. Still the same problem.

Does anybody has an idea?
