I’ve been working around it by running 2.5.3pre3 in parallel with 2.5.5. Just add your items in 2.5.5 (2.5.3 doesn’t load data off eBay properly), shut it down, open 2.5.3 and build the multi-snipe group. Now shut down 2.5.3 and start 2.5.5 again, multi-snipe works. I’m not sure why it’s disabled in 2.5.5, there must be a good reason, but I’ve yet to run into any problem doing the above so far. |

I run Window 7 Ultimate on my always-on home server and jBidWatcher on a remote desktop. The machine concurrently also has an always-logged-in local session running a home entertainment application (involves a windows dll hack to enable concurrent log-ins). I observed, if I leave jBidWatcher maximised then disconnect the remote desktop session, sooner or later java.exe eats up all CPU cycles (100% utilisation); if I minimise jBidWatcher before disconnecting however this does not seem to occur. Machine is an HP DC7900 with E8400 CPU and 6GB RAM. |

I seem to remember a long long time ago I used to be able to group a bunch of different items, all with different user-defined maximum snipe prices, into the same multi-snipe group, then ask JBidWatcher to to keep bidding until X number of items have been won (where X is user-defined). Where has that feature gone? |
