I’m having issues with using a remote SQL database aswell. It was working fine, but suddenly stopped

The version is JBidwatcher 2.99pre5-2-g7251940

Even when I specify the database details in the cfg file it says along the lines of cannot connect to database ’ ’

Any help would be appreciated

I’m using version 2.5.2

I’ve noticed that the jpgs that are cached in the auctionsave directory do not always seem to be the same size as the images I can see on ebay. Is there a configuration option to download the full image size in all cases?

Is it possible to store the full item description rather than just a short title description in jbidwatcher?

I’m using version 2.5, and I’ve noticed similar issues. I’ve done a search on ebay with a specific name, and that has generated a selection of items. I have run the same search on jbidwatcher using title only and I get a completely different set of results, and a lesser number of searches :-( I’m baffled

I have the same problem. The remote database name is ignored in the config file. It seems like it has a hardcoded database name called “jbidwatcher”. If you create a local database with that name it works perfectly. So it is a bug in the code.

I’m hoping that this problem gets resolved asap. I will happily donate when it does, but for now, the tool doesn’t do what I need
