Topic: Does JBidwatcher support make offer

There’s a great reason to want this – multi-snipes. Lets say you have a multisnipe set for 5 items, and you found that item with a best offer as well. One could go ahead and make their best offer, but if a multisnipe executes and wins, AND the best offer is taken, well, then you end up with 2 items when you only wanted to purchase one.

For all other instances, yes I’d agree there is no advantage to sniping with a best offer.

Topic: running from eclipse

Greetings,
That’s correct; figuring out the right path for resource properties at launch is a real PITA, especially because it varies between debug and release builds. JBidwatcher actually tries one method, then if that fails, tries another, just in case it is/isn’t running in debug mode.

I recommend trying IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition for debugging JBidwatcher.

I think that means jbw isn’t finding the ebay_com.properties file at run time.

Topic: Does JBidwatcher support make offer

I don’t know but why would you even want to use a sniping tool for that?
The whole ides of sniping is to place a bid at the last few seconds – any offers are only good for a certain period of time or until the buy-it-now period ends. No point making an offer at the last minute.

Topic: new application

Greetings,

I have been using jbidwatcher now for the last few years and I think it is really good.

Thanks very much!

Application idea

Well…I’m obviously biased. :) You could do a complex eBay search, and then copy the URL that it lands you at, and create a URL Search in JBidwatcher’s Search Manager, paste that URL into it, and then set that search up to run once a day.

That said, eBay also allows you to save a search on their site, and have it email you the results every day, so if you build a search that finds one or two items that match your desires, you can set it up to alert you when more show up.
