Topic: Dragging new listings

Interesting! I haven’t tried from Chrome yet… Each browser does something a little subtly different with drag-and-drop mime encodings. What did you drag, a link, the address bar, or some hilited text containing the item number?

Does adding the item using the paste-auction-number method work? (There are some items that 2.0.1 can’t load, that will hang one thread of JBidwatcher due to some very strange choices by eBay. I have a pre-release of 2.1 that fixes that, in case that’s the problem.)

The gray box is probably JBidwatcher saying, ‘I can’t add this item’, and then dumping what it got from your copy-and-paste, which was probably a whole bunch of HTML. Because there probably was a lot of it, it filled the screen, and that dialog by default doesn’t have a scroll bar. This pushed the button (just ‘Ok’ in that case) down below the bottom of the screen. Hilighting the dialog and just hitting ENTER should have worked, but that’s still a bad thing.

I’ll poke into how Chrome treats its drag-and-drop data, and if you could identify what you were dragging that would help a lot!
