Multi-snipe seems to work now

1) Macs can wake and even boot themselves, and, IIRC, have had this ability since 68k PowerBooks. They can also startup automatically after a power failure. This is done via energy saver or an iCal event (the lid may have to be open for this to work).

2) If you have a remote box, you can run JBidWatcher already. All it needs is Java 1.5 or higher. Swing requires X11, but it can be run headless and you can use VNC to edit your auctions using x11vnc.

3) If you want someone ELSE to provide an online service for free, you’re on crack!

If the API is stable enough, I may even write a native Mac interface for it.

JBidWatcher doesn’t allow me to snipe anything from this seller:

Looks like a normal auction to me. I don’t understand why the snipe option is grayed out. It seems like JBidWatcher is fooled into thinking it’s fixed price and not an auction even though there isn’t even a BIN option.

Topic: JBidwatcher Development / Mysaifu or IBM's J9?

Does the jbidwatcher .jar run on either of these VMs? Once I get my new smart phone I’ll try it out.

I am a developer by trade, but I haven’t screwed around with one of these devices yet. If I can get something running, I may invest a little time to optimize its behavior to reduce CPU, memory and bandwidth use. I really don’t want to have to tether my laptop to snipe auctions.

I didn’t see a forum for bugs, so I’m posting here.

1.0.2 is usually dependable, but just now it failed to bid. I even refreshed my session and synchronized the time 10 minutes before the auction’s end. I missed out on an extremely good deal, and I’d like to know if I should ditch 1.0.2.

The log warns of failures, but there was no indication in the main window as such. I’d consider that a bug, too.
