Topic: JBidwatcher Help / Minimum Legal Bid = Reserve?

Never mind, it was a fixed-price purchase i.e. “not an auction”. Seems a bit silly to me, permitting folks to sell stuff on an auction site when you can’t bid on it, you can only buy it at a fixed price …. I can buy it off his web-site. I guess it gives sellers more exposure, but it doesn’t help buyers much.

Hi,

OK, I looked at the FAQs and searched the forums for the phrase “Minimum Legal Bid” and “Legal Bid”.

I am watching an auction (at least I think it’s an auction) which I think has a reserve. It also has a “Buy Now” tag.

When I look at the listing in Jbid, it shows the Buy Now price as the “current” price. When I look at the Jbid snipe screen it says “Minimum Legal Bid”, which is ALSO EQUAL to the “Buy Now” price.

Does this mean this is just a sale and NOT an auction i.e. the price is fixed and the Minimum Legal Bid = Reserve = Buy Now Price??

(I am loathe to add a bid and increment to see what the “Reserve” is).
