Congratulations, and delighted to hear that all is well.

Please do take the time off – spending time with your family now is MUCH more important than our eBay auctions!!

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / Search Issues

Running Windows 7 here, with JBidWatcher 2.1.1. Although I am having some of the problems mentioned here and in other threads, the basic functionality is working.

My system is fully patched with all Microsoft, Java and other updates.

Many thanks! I’ve set it to your suggested value (C6A646) and it works really well.

Two minor suggestions for the FAQ:
1) For some reason, this question is answered twice in there (Q15 and Q29)!
2) You need to exit JBidWatcher and restart it before the new value is applied (at least I did) – it may be worth mentioning this.

Thanks for the new version.

Have tried 2.1pre7-28-gcd0e285 on Windows 7 64-bit, and the Selection Colour is still not working for me – I get a dark blue background with black writing on it, which is all but impossible to read.

If you right-click on an item in JBidWatcher, the context menu includes an option to “Set Shipping”.

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / Lots of "JBidWatcher Saved Auctions" files ...

Thanks – these are .TXT files. I have deleted most of them, but a new one seems to be created every few minutes, and even with a big hard drive it’s becoming an issue.

Am I the only person who is seeing this? Is there any way I can prevent them from being created (or at least reduce the frequency with which they are created – I wouldn’t mind if it was a once-a-day snapshot).

Not sure that Vista supports cron …

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / Lots of "JBidWatcher Saved Auctions" files ...

Was running out of space on one of my drives and had a look in the JBidWatcher “Save File Path” directory.

There were a LOT of files called “JBidWatcher Saved Auctions-_” files there. Each file was around 2.5Mb, and it looks as if JBidWatcher has been saving a new version every 10 minutes. I have manually deleted most of them and my hard drive can breathe again.

Is there any configuration option which could reduce how often a new version of this file is created?

I am running 1.0.3pre2 on Vista Ultimate SP1RC1. I do not have Logging or Debugging switched on.
