Well, good news. Everything is working fine with FF version 4.0. I don’t know if it is due to something that changed in FF or due to one of the add-ons that was deactivated by the upgrade but who cares ;) ;) Robby |

Hi Zena. What exactly happens is that FF opens a blanc tab and then I get a Windows message telling that FF had some problem and is trying to solve it … What is your windows version? In FF, I use Tab Mix Plus v0385. Maybe there is a problem with it (but, as I said , I have this problem only with JBW and if FF has already one or more tabs open) JBW worked OK till the latest update but (of course) at the same time, there were FF updates and added modules update and…. Who knows what messed up. I’ll try to uninstall JBW and reinstall it. I can’t do a clean reinstal of FF, all my life is in it ;) and if I uninstall, then install it and put back the backup, I’ll find myself at the exact same position. |

OK, me again. If FF is open and I try to open a link in an e-mail, FF opens a second window so the problem is JBW related. In config manager, the browser tab says “C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe” -requestPending -osint -url “%1” |

Hi I have a strange behavior of JBW (latest version). If FF (latest version too) is CLOSED and I click on something in JBW that should open the navigator (the forum, see one item etc), all works OK. BUT, is FF is already open, then JBW trying to open the navigator (normally should open another window in FF) kills FF :( I’m trying to see if this is JBW related or FF related… BTW, all this on a laptop under Win7 x64 SP1 in french. Any ideas and help will be welcomed ;) Robby |

It would be nice if there was on option in jBid to stop the computer going to sleep if a snipe is doing to fire. I may be done with an option for the number of hours like “if jBid is going ti snipe in x hours (4, 8, 12, 24) then prevent the computer going to sleep / hybernate)” OTOH, I don’t know if Windows permits this (like "__I__ am the boss and I tell when to go to sleep ;) ) Robby |

Hi Morgan. Tnx for looking into the problem. BTW, I reinstalled Beta11 and I have all my items back. FYI, the instal of 2.0 was done under “common” (when all users can acces JBidW). I don’t know if this may be a problem. Regards. |

Hi Morgan. When I installed 2.0 on the latest Beta, all my watch items disappeared from JBidW :( And, when I try to add the items, I get a message that the item that I want to add is already on my watch list. TIa for your help. |

Which version are you using? The browser you use doesn’t interfere with JBW. Regards. |

Hi Morgan. Just an idea / option which would be nice to have. Have a look at it once you’ll be a father and when things have cooled down ;) It would be nice to have an “exclude” option in the search. For ex, I’m doing a search and a seller shows the same item (that I don’t want) multiple times. This fills up the search results with useless/junk (sometimes 20 – 30 lines) item offers. If we could exclude a(several) seller(s) or description words, then we could clean up the search results. But most important, enjoy your time and future baby. Computers stay for ever but babies get bigger too fast ;) Regards. |

Hi, JBW seems not to undestand when he sees a message telling that he cannot bid as the sum is not high enough and gives an “Unknown error sniping on …” Item: 130148392118 Log from JBW: The Snipe was set to 7.52 so with the actual bid at 7.50, the 7.52 bid was too low and was not accepted. I suppose eBay gave an error message but JBW didn’t understand it. JFYI Best regards |

Hi Morgan, I have missed 2 snipes with the login problem too and I had to bid via e-bay (which worked OK). I didn’t see anything different when I bid “manually”. My initial post is in the announcments section. You can move to here if the correct place is here. Using XP Pro SP2 and eBay.fr Best regards. Robby |

Hi Everybody, FYI, I have installed 1.0.2.pre5 on an XP Pro SP2, using eBay.fr (France). I haven’t bid yet but “Get my selling items” is working OK. ../.. Follow-up: I had set up a snipe and it didn’t work. The events are: Events The wierd side is that JB logs in OK to eBay. I see “Done getting sign in cookie” when I ask to “Refresh eBay session” .../... More follow-up: I saw that “Registered adult” was not checked and I checked it. Now, JB tells me that my login / password is not correct and will not login (even if it says “Done getting sign in cookie”) I’m sure of my login and password… I quit and reopen JB and I can check the “Registered adult” and now it logs in OK… Funny stuff computers????? .../... Still more follow-up: JB couldn’t snipe for the same login problem :( On the main page, upper rightcorner, I see that I’m logged in, refresh session works OK but seems not to connect for sniping. Regards and thanks for your help. Robby (registered user) |
