This is easy on a Windows PC too. Just make a shortcut to the JBidwatcher program and put it in the “Startup” folder under “All Programs” on the Start menu. |

Morgan, your pre3 version is looking much better. I now have sellers and high bidders listed, and can see current bid and # of bids. Like Marc, I do have the issue that an item I have the high bid on is displaying in red, which isn’t a problem for me right now. Overall, a big step forward. Thanks! |

I have auctions that I’m just watching showing up as having $1 Max bids, but if I check the auctions on eBay there are no bids actually placed for them under my eBay name. I even see watched auctions in JBW that say there are 0 bids on them, but it’s showing a $1 Max bid. So, something’s a little funny on the JBW side. And if you right-click on the auctions showing a $1 Max bid, the Cancel Snipe is greyed out so there doesn’t seem to be either a bid or a snipe set for them. |

I’m also seeing some of my watched items with a Max bid of $1. Some of the items with a $1 Max bid have 0 bids when I check eBay, and the eBay auction pages do not show me having a bid in, so it’s not a big issue for me right now. I’m running JBW 2.0.825 on WinXP SP3 and using the U.S. eBay. |

Hi Morgan, your 2.0.1 did the trick for me. I had been having problems with JBW only showing about a dozen of my watched auctions. Playing with eBay’s number of listings per page was not resolving the issue. All of my watched auctions are now listed. Great job! |

I had trouble logging in to eBay yesterday. JBidWatcher was not loading all of my watched items, so I was fooling around settings and the installation. Looks like I tried to log in at some point with the wrong password, and eBay turned on their captcha security feature. I found a thread on the forum about this issue and the solution was to log in to eBay with a browser, then wait about a day for them to turn the captcha back off. Waited until this morning to run JBidWatcher and now it’s logging in OK. |

Was having the Red Eye issue this morning, but the strings update worked great for me on WinXP. Thanks Laurence and Morgan! |

Well, that sucked. Using the JBW Pre5 version on Windows XP Pro. I had a snipe that didn’t work earlier today but didn’t know why. Then a couple of hours later I missed getting another bid in at the end of the auction. This time I looked into the issue and here’s what I found. After I synchronized the time in JBW, I checked eBay time in the browser, and the official eBay time was 12 seconds ahead of JBW’s time. My snipe time was also set to 12 seconds. Bummer. Within 5 minutes of discovering this, I checked again and suddenly everything is back in sync. So has anyone else seen this and have any idea what happened? Anyway, thanks for the great software and awesome support to accomodate the recent eBay changes, Morgan! |

First the good news – pre4 version seems to be working fine for me, including sniping. I’m running WinXP Pro on a 2.66 GHz Pentium 4 in the US, and my Java version is 1.6.0_01-b06. No problem here with excessive CPU usage either, running around 2 to 5 percent with an occasional brief jump to 20. Big thanks to you Morgan for JBW! Now the not-so-good news – I cannot quit JBW normally, either with the window Close button or Quit on the Menu. Have to use Task Manager. Hey, what do I know, maybe this is a new feature, right? Why would anyone WANT to close JBW? A minor issue, so I’ll quit whining now … :-) |
