Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / No longer able to "log on"

Don’t know if this makes sense or not but dumped 2.0-800 and went into the firewall and allowed it to accept traffic from the new version of java I loaded. Opened up 1.0.3pre2 and connection was made. Lost all my saved searches but that is a minor issue if the program still runs.

Thanks for the suggestion in regards to the firewall.

Comment Topic: JBidwatcher Help / No longer able to "log on"

Had been using version 1.0.3pre2 up to a couple of days ago with no problems. Was forced to update Java for another program and 1.0.3pre2 no longer was able to log on “login failed, connection refused”. Loaded version 2.0-800 thinking that the new version of Java would not work with the older version of Jbidwatcher but still can not log on using 2.0-800 getting the same message that I can not login. I had something similar to this happen a couple years ago but do not recall the fix.

Thanks for any help that might be given.

Comment Topic: Announcements / [PreRelease] JBidwatcher 1.0.3pre2

Morgan,

Running Windows XP home SP1. Loaded pre2 this AM and sniped successfully later in the day. I am able to add bids and all other functions seem to be fine so far. Have not attempted multi-snipe yet but may have a chance later this week to give it a try. That was the only function on pre1 that did not work correctly on this end.

Thanks for all your time on a great program

Comment Topic: Announcements / [Release] JBidwatcher 1.0.2 is now available!

Morgan,

Thank you for the reply to my inquiry. I used 1.03pre1 a bit earlier and it successfully sniped with 4 seconds left on the bid.

I’ve been away from the forum for a while. Is 1.0.3pre1 the most reliable version at the moment?

Thanks

Thanks Morgan,

Running a Windows XP box with SP1 only. Able to add auctions, bid, snipe and time syncing is not a problem. Set sniping for 4 seconds prior to end of auction and successful bid fired off with 4 seconds left.

No red eye, all bids update fine, able to add bids, able to submit bid using program with proper return message if out bid. Will try snipe feature before end of day hopefully.

Thanks Morgan

Comment Topic: Announcements / New test version 1.0.2pre3

Good Morning,

Loaded 1.0.2pre3 yesterday and all appeared to be well until I rebooted this A.M.
Getting red eyes across the board again and will not add new items. Have not attempted
to submit bid or try the snipe feature. Prior to trying 2pre3 I had loaded and played with the fix Hans submitted and everything seems to work. Was able to add bids, update, bid directly using program and was successful using snipe feature.
