i know this is a two-year-old thread now, but i just wanted to chime in that i’m finding the very same Registered-Adult-checkbox-related behavior in JBidwatcher 2.1.5-0-g91e38b0 as was described by r2d2hp back in 2009. box checked = yellow login indicator; box unchecked = green login indicator. |

ugh…all of a sudden and due to no cause of which i’m aware, my “current” and “selling” pages are completely blank and my “completed” page shows nothing but a list of dates against the left side of the window. i launch jbidwatcher and it appears to log in fine, and all the little status/search update lines play along the bottom of the window as they always have, but nothing appears in the main panes, with the exception of the list of dates in the “completed” pane. when i go to quit, i get the warning telling me i have snipes set to fire…but i can’t see them. all is white. help!! (please…) thanks… tiger JBw 1.0.2; Mac OS X v. 10.5.1 and whatever the latest version of Java is for the Mac… |

Wait – I think you’re right, David: I had the option to zoom while holding Control turned on in my trackpad settings and evidently that was the culprit. Didn’t think it was at first because I turned it off and that didn’t affect things, but then I quit and relaunched jbw, and the problem had gone. Nice. Thanks for the lead… tiger |

I’ve found a small bug in this release for Mac OS X: Control-clicking an item in the Current section immediately chooses “Snipe” from the contextual menu unless the mouse button is held down. That isn’t right… Thanks… tiger |

I don’t know what this “saving” business is about – I’ve never had any problems that I know of with jbidwatcher’s ability to save things – but I was getting the Red Eye of Death, as someone so poetically called it, on all my current auctions, and the build I just downloaded from the link above (for OS X) seems to have banished that problem. I have yet to test to see whether this latest version of jbidwatcher plays nice when I try to log out or restart my machine. The previous version always cancelled logout/restart/shutdown. ‘Twas a pain. I’m hoping that’s the “quit” issue people are referring to and I’ll find it fixed in this version. Thanks…

hey. i appreciate that Morgan makes moola (heh) from my having jbidwatcher browse to eBay through his site…but i’ve just discovered Big Crumbs, an affiliate program that earns me cash back on all my purchases and all those made by five generations of my referrals. thing is, i only get the cash back on my purchases if i surf to ebay through the Big Crumbs site. so i’m wondering if i can tell jbidwatcher to take me to eBay via my Big Crumbs URL instead. if you want to check out Big Crumbs for yourself, here’s a nice pretty link for you ;) - http://www.bigcrumbs.com/crumbs/frontpage.jsp?r=plaintiger thanks! tiger |
