Hi, But there is no other instance running. Does anybody has an idea? |

I must admit that there are a couple of bugs, but on the whole, I’ve used JBW on my various Mac’s and it has pretty much always worked for me. On the rare occasion it hasn’t, it’s been inconvenience, but not the end of the World. If it was something so very very important, I’m usually not so lazy and actually sit there and make the bid myself. Like Roger W, I’ve donated on a number of occasions for it because it’s been super handy and , hey….. the guy makes if for free. That’s FREE. |

Thanks. I’ve been using jbidwatcher for several years, and I’d never had that problem before. My primary computer went down, and I did a clean install of linux on an old machine. I don’t think that I’d even logged in on a browser at that point. I’ll keep that in mind for the future. |

Happened before…. You need to quit JBW, login to eBay manually from a browser, and get through the captcha. then, use ebay that way, and wait about 24 hours and run JBW again. Hope that works for you. Good luck. |

I just had a huge let down. Jbid worked great years ago. Very reliable. Lately I even bought a small item this morning to test it. Tonight 2 min before auction end, it tries to get pre-bid sign in and fails. Good thing I was paranoid and watching it. Clicked refresh ebay session and it went green again. at 1m and 1 seconds the timer stopped counting and 6 seconds before end of auction the log says ebay reported auction ended. A huge let down by Jbidwatcher. It is very unreliable |

It looks like ebay put a captcha in the login system. I am unable to get jbidwatcher to login to ebay. |

It looks like eBay UK have message with their web pages again. Now none of the auctions in JBW show a thumbnail image. One I’m watching: The one I won: Thanks |

I though that Auctions I had won were shown with the text and price in green, but one I won yesterday has the text as red, and no winning price displayed? Dave |

well, I added 5 more items to sell on eBay using GarageSale and JBW updated all my new listing into “selling” tab automatically but no more thumbnails on those new listings… I think it’s just not updating it now. |

I’d just checked my end, I have thumbnails on all my selling items, and one on the items I won (the other 3 not) and nothing else has thumbnails. It must have something to do with the way items are listed, or cached. IDK. This is a setup on OS X, 10.11.6 Intel core i7, JBidwatcher (2.99pre5-2-g7251940) |

For some months now (maybe six)I haven’t had any thumbnails, the image squares all have a single centre dot but no picture. I didn’t worry too much about this as it’s not really necessary for the programme to work but I would like them back. Having read what others said about other matters I’m assuming that they still have thumbnails? |

I was having some trouble with unwanted adverts, and so I downloaded a popular anti-malware tool – AdwCleaner – and ran it. It detected a few issues, deleted them and then asked for a reboot. When I oked that, my machine rebooted, and then, as the default programs loaded (including JbidWatcher) the single snipe that I had stored fired. There was actually 4-5 hours to go, and my snipe was set to 7 seconds, but nevertheless it fired 4+ hours early. I wonder why? incidentally, I got the item, and there has been no repetition – so it’s not a bug – just an odd glitch |

I have been using JBW for a while now and contributed twice, and I must say – Thank you very much…. as it had won me many “surprises” and I am happy. Currently, I am on JBidwatcher (2.99pre5-2-g7251940) using a core i7 Mac and running 10.11.6 and there’s no problem with loading speed, etc. etc….. and it does snipe well for me (if it’s not falling to deep sleep, and snipe bid amount is high enough), but it is loading up listing from “no where”, and they keep adding up, and I’d noticed that some are from very old searches I did, and some of them are from recent search ….. i used to select them all by weeding them out and trash them, but a lot of them came back, and I don’t know if they are duplicated. Then I try to move them to a new Tab, and they keep growing, so eventually I will delete a few hundred of them and quit JBW and launch again…. Besides that…. it’s doing well, and snipe and drag and drop works……. Again, thanks so much for all the works in the past ….. 16 years is a LONG time….. |

If it’s working can we have a pre-release of the Mac App Morgan? |

When trying to view Maxx’s thread, I get “JBidwatcher Forum System Error Oops! It looks like there was an error.” As to the main problem, I got a randomized item image today: I have no idea what that image is, but it’s sure not the one for that auction. :) Thanks again, |

Yes, thanks! I noticed the lack of adult items and multisniping, though! people use those features. :) —Bushytails |

I’ve upgraded my WinLOSE machine to Win 7 and the new 2.99.pre5 works… so I guess after months since I’ve posted this I’ve answered my own question just in case anyone stops by. 2.99pre5 does not work on XP and it probably has something to do with Java… Java me this and Java me that. Anyway I’ve glad it works. Thanks Morgan for the efforts for a thankless job! |

Preventing someone to bid is not really fitting into the ebay business model. Before I used JBidWatcher I did manual sniping. It often did not work because I just forgot to do it. So with JBidWatcher everybody earned more from my sniping. So I doubt that ebay targets JBidWatcher. |

My ip was blocked for the same reason. Still don’t know what to do with it, we have to use proxies. The solution of this problem with ip is still not found? |

Once jbidwatcher was the best sniper out there. No more…. NOTHING works. It’s an ordeal just to start it up. It doesn’t update anything and it doesn’t SNIPE. |
