I am unable to update JBidwather. I can download the update or start to… after the 70.1 mb has been dowloaded I get a message that the update could not be downloaded at this time. Try again later… I’ve been trying since the update came out. :) Any body else have this problem? I am on a macbook pro running 10.12.2 |

yes, no thumbnails but everything else seem working fine, I keep winning items, just got another “pleasant” surprise this morning also. Have fun while OS and eBay don’t break it yet. |

FYI, restarted JBW and drag/drop returned – very odd. Did this after adding new auctions by auction number stopped working. Both work now. Still, no pictures… |

I see. so go to your JBW preferences, and select (eBay) tab, and change the (Browe target, country site: to ebay.fr), and you should see all your local items. We are in USA, so I do not look at items from ebay.fr as I don’t even understand the language and the shipping cost are very expensive to get it to here. Good luck. |

Thanks for looking, but it DOES exist (since I have bought it !) ; http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Ensign-2-1-4-B-Spiegelreflex-Box-Historische-Kamera-/132210220385? loads it. You are right: changing ebay.fr to ebay.com in link gives an error. The object is in ebay.de. How can I set jbidwatcher to correctly find the item ? i also use another bidding program (Bid-O-Matic from sourceforge) and it finds the object and won auction. Maybe this has somewhat linked to shipping to parameter in listing. I wrote an API searching ebay program (not bidding) through ebay API and it sometimes (though rarely) find objects that I cannot access even if they exist. |

I tried to find item (132210220385), and it does not exist. (at least search on ebay from USA site). |

I add : this object is in ebay.de, in jbidwatcher changing to ebay.com ebay.co.uk ebay.de gives same error. |

Hi, For instance object accessed via http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=132210220385 correctly shows in a browser (with a redirect to http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Ensign-2-1-4-B-Spiegelreflex-Box-Historische-Kamera-/132210220385? cannot be loaded into jbidwatcher with same message as in 1st post of thread. |

Yes, no pictures. I’d added more than 2 dozens new listings, none have thumbnail pictures. But all work when it needs to snipe and my snipe fired, not winning due to my bid was too low to win, but JBW still function as a sniper app, I will adjust my bid prices and I am sure I will win a few in the next few days. |

Last three auctions I’ve added, no pictures… not exhaustive testing but enough to think it’s broken. |

I often want to jbid on something…but forget to bring it up the day of the auction. So feature request is to have JBid shutdown if there are no auctions in its queue. I would use it this way. Have JBid started at every boot. On invocation with this feature, it would kill itself unless it had one of more auctions with snipes queued up. |

Hi, I tried to find your (311871848690) directly in eBay and it does not show up. So, you need to confirm that it does exist on eBay first. I am using ebay.com from USA. |

I’d love to donate, if I could actually get it working. My AuctionTamer subscription is about to end, and as it’s dead as a doornail, I’m desperately looking for a replacement. I really wanted to like jbidwatcher, and on paper it seems to have all the features, but I just can’t get it working. |

I’ve had auctions just disappear several times. Latest was just a few hours ago – all current auctions mysteriously just “gone” – neither computer nor program was restarted. I suspect this latest may have something to do with my modem losing internet connection – after having to reboot the modem JBidwatcher showed no current auctions. Any idea of why auctions disappear, and whether the loss of internet connection might have anything to do with it? More importantly, any idea of what might fix the problem? |

If you can’t get it to work and you’re only interested in the searching, you can try out http://www.auctionsieve.com/ – it doesn’t do sniping but it does a lot of fancy filtering. I develop it in my spare time like Morgan does with JBidwatcher. I’ve always followed his work with interest because we play in the same space. I’m really interested to see what he’s cooking up for version 3. And I highly recommend donating to encourage his development. Calculate how much you reckon you’ve saved by using his app and work out a percentage to donate. |

After using Auctiontamer for years, it is time to move on. Being open source, jbidwatcher caught my eye. I like what I see so far, but have a lot of questions and adjusting. The first one would be searches. Every search I run comes up with zero new results. To make things easy (A search term that would show up), I created a new search for sex, title only (Have also tried text), destination tab sex temp (A tab I created for the test), currency either US Dollar or all. I run the search, enable the search, schedule the search. No results. Also, I don’t want to ask too much in the same question, but is there a way for jbidwatcher to import all my old won auctions? Thanks! |

When I select a search JBidwatcher comes back with done instead of showing the search items. I see in the error log this is the search URL JBidwatcher creates: When I put that into Firefox it comes back with: In the error.log I also see an error about My eBay: When I sign into eBay I do see My eBay and when I select it there is a pulldown showing my options. At the end of the error log it’s showing an item I won (2x-Keyless-Entry-Remote-Key-Fob-shell-case-For-Honda-Accord-Pilot-4-Button-BTN-) that has nothing to do with the item (x930d)I searched for. This is the error.log: eBay <!— includeHost = ‘https://ir.ebaystatic.com/include/’; <!— location.replace(‘http://pages.ebay.ca/messages/page_not_responding.html’); } } } } } } } } } } location.replace(‘http://pages.ebay.fr/messages/page_not_responding.html’); location.replace(‘http://pages.ebay.fr/messages/page_not_responding.html’); location.replace(‘http://pages.ebay.nl/messages/page_not_responding.html’); location.replace(‘http://pages.ebay.it/messages/page_not_responding.html’); location.replace(‘http://pages.ebay.es/messages/page_not_responding.html’); location.replace(‘http://pages.tw.ebay.com/messages/page_not_responding.html’); location.replace(‘http://pages.ebay.com/messages/developer/page_not_responding.html’); //—> var GlobalNavHeaderUtf8Encoding=true,includeHost=‘http://include.ebaystatic.com/’;if(document.documentMode != 8 && document.compatMode != “CSS1Compat”) ebay.oDocument._getControl(“headerCommon”).exec(“writeStyleSheet”);

I recently had to do a system recovery on my pc and reset everything back to its factory settings. When I re-downloaded jbidwatcher, I ran into the issue with ebay’s security blocking the snipe from being delivered. In the past it would go away if I signed in a few times, but it seems like now that isn’t working. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please let me know. Thank you. |

I found the solution. Note the added Now that it’s working, set #!/usr/bin/env xdg-open [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Name=jbidwatcher Exec=/home/Programs/jbidwatcher/JBidwatcher/jbidwatcher.sh Path=/home/Programs/jbidwatcher/JBidwatcher Terminal=false MultipleArgs=false Icon=/usr/share/icons/jbidwatcher.jpg Type=Application Categories=Application MimeType= Read a basic guide on Unity Launchers here and further help here |

Thanks for all your hard work on JBidwatcher throughout the years. It’s really appreciated and you’ve done a great job. As JBidwatcher 2.5.6 had become error-prone in recent months, with lots of duplicates in the listings, I decided to upgrade to 2.99pre5. It works fine from a terminal, but fails to start when launched from a Desktop launcher. This is my setup…
#!/usr/bin/env xdg-open [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Name=jbidwatcher Exec=/home/Programs/jbidwatcher/JBidwatcher/jbidwatcher.sh Terminal=true MultipleArgs=false Icon=/usr/share/icons/jbidwatcher.jpg Type=Application Categories=Application MimeType= To see the error, set printf 'press [ENTER] to continue' read _ This is the error that’s produced: Error: Could not find or load main class com.jbidwatcher.app.JBidWatch As I said, running Any help with this would be much appreciated. |

Yes, I found this strange as well, all the sudden 83 items showed up out of nowhere! I don’t want to buy these but they are reference items for future projects. I guess they are there to stay? hmmm. I thought the simple method of adding item number would be sufficient but I guess that’s how this program is set up? Thanks for all the hard work! If it works (testing today @ 10 seconds) then I will send donation. |

Tried using Jbidwatcher for first time. I entered wrong (old) password and got the captcha error. (It’s a new ebay security feature I suppose, bid o matic gets same error). Anyways, I will try again in 24 hrs to see if it goes away or not? Thanks for the hard work on the app! |

I have noticed that when I “get info” on the JBidwatcher application, it no longer has a check box to stop app nap. Needed for sniping, right? Or not? |
