Morgan,

How does the Jbidwatcher work against the Automatic Max bid

When a snipe is executed against a item that another user that has an automatic bid executed, the Jbidwatcher snipe loses ( I think )

A snipe should do an Automatic Maximun bid the ebay way.

For example if I setup a snipe with a JbidWatcher Max of 2100.00

Auction is current bid of 1000.00

another user has bid 1000.00 and had a max automatic bid of 2000. If I snipe a bid at 1025.00 in the last second, the automatic bid still wins with a bid of 1050.00

So can it work like this.

When the snipe fires, a bid of 1025.00 with a maximum bid equal to that of my Jbidwacher max bid of 2100 should occur

that way if my max is 2100

Auction is current bid of 1000.00

My snipe max is set at 2100.

another user has bid 1000.00 and had a max automatic bid of 2000. If I snipe a bid at 1025.00 in the last second with a maximum of 2100, then I win the bid with a bid of 2025.00. Since the minimum bid increament is 25

Or does it already work that way?

..jpw

Greetings,
Yes, it already works that way. :)

JBidwatcher does not try to nibble up the bid increments from the current price to your snipe bid; that would be time-consuming (thus defeating the purpose of last-minute bidding), and is essentially unnecessary.

This is described in a FAQ entry as well as in the in-program FAQ for ‘How does sniping work’ and the following few answers.
