Seems like there is a potential problem. I had a snipe to bid max $150 – 5 seconds prior to auction end. I wanted to make sure that I at least had one bid in so I bid $100 through JBidwatcher 5 min before auction end. Although I had already won the item, the snipe at the end put the max bid in and made me pay more. I actually trumped my own bid and have to pay an extra $50 for the item.

Is this how JBidwatcher is suppose to work?

eBay doesn’t work that way. You don’t up your own bids; it only increases the hidden max you’re willing to bid. They only update your high bid if someone else bids.

Give me the item number, I’ll take a look.

p.s. There’s an exception to the above rule, which has to do with multi-item listings where you’re bidding for all the items in the list, and that particular misfeature of eBay bugs me a little.
