Hi

I just discovered JBW some days ago with the beta11. I experienced some bugs which look like corrected in the 2.0 release.
I could make some succesful snipes… ;-)
I really like the software, but it would be nice if JBW could parse an url, determine if the url point to an item (from the url format), add it if it is.
If the url is not an item, extract all the links from the page and add all the items that the page contains.

This is really helpful because we may want to do quite complex searches that are already implemented in ebay.

Another side feature would be JBW automatically extracting items from searches stored in my ebay.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for this great software.

Greetings,

What you want is implemented in the Search Manager. If you click the magnifying glass (or go to Edit | Search, not the most intuitive place), and in Search Manager click ‘New’, you can change the Search Type to ‘URL Load’. What that does is load all the eBay items that show up as links on the page you provide.

Then you can set that search to run every so often, and automatically pull in those items that show up for that search.

There’s been some request that if a non-item URL is dragged and dropped on JBidwatcher, that it’ll treat it as a one-time URL Load, and load all linked auctions from that page. I haven’t gotten around to doing that just yet, but it’s doable.
