Can you confirm if my deduction is true?

Hadn’t bid for a few months, always had set at 8 seconds, and no problem.
There were 8 items I wanted from one seller. I added the auctions and set up my snipes. Then I noticed that all 8 ended within about 5 seconds of each other, so I worried that the program could not do simultaneous bids. I increased my snipe time to 40 seconds. I also set up a snipe on another item.

Next day, I won 7 of the 8 items, but noted that the time ebay had on my bids was only 5-6 seconds. I checked the time, resynched my computer as per ebay, had found that I was about 2 seconds off ebay time.

Today, I remembered that I had increased my time and went back and lowered it back to 8 seconds. My last items sniped, and I won, but ebay time shows 39 seconds.

i.e. When I set up that snipe, it was configured for 40 seconds. Lowering the snipe time some time after that did not change it for that pre-existing snipe. So, I guess you need to cancel the snipe then set the snipe again AFTER confirming the snipe time has been set as you wish for that item.

Is this indeed what has happened?
