I have used Jbidwatcher for some time but now it has suddenly stopped working correctly.

I have installed and re-installed many, many times but no joy. I have even tried it on another machine, but nothing. My normal operating platform is Windows 7, but I have also tried it on XP, and it’s just the same.

I enter the snipe as usual but it simply doesn’t bid and I keep getting error messages as follows;

I have now lost out on several items I was really interested in.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have never had JB just stop working for no reason.

Either eBay made changes which JB needs to adapt to with a software update or you are blocked from bidding on the auction.

Ebay has given sellers more flexibility and options as to which buyers to allow.
If there is the slightest chance that I as a se;ller are blocked because of location and if I’m really interested in that item, I always do a test bid early in the auction cycle. That way I know my snipe will not be rejected by ebay.
From what you posted it looks as if the snipe was fired successfully but the bid was rejected by ebay.

Last bid was £5.50 – submitted 20-Apr-14 14:26:03 BST.

JBidwatcher tried to snipe £5.30 on Sun Apr 20 14:26:05 BST 2014 and failed, since the auction price at the time of sniping was already £5.50. Bids that are too low are not accepted by Ebay and don’t show up in the auction’s bid list.

So everything worked as expected – your bid was just too low. However, JBidwachter failed to identify the proper reason for Ebay not accepting the bid – which is one of JBidwatcher’s minor oddities these days. Btw, I’m suprised that JBW 2.5.5-0 worked at all – probably it’s just unusable for non-US/UK auctions.
