Hi I recently updated to 2.0 b11 and there is a lot of corruption with the widgets in the app.

Like… the menus, dont update when you roll the mouse over them, if I add an auction to the list is puts the entry over the top of the others already in there and all the text is garbled like etc.

If i minimize and restor the window everything refreshes out fine, but live interaction with the app everything corrupts up and doesn’t update.

Has anyone else had this? Or maybe my download was corrupt?

PS: This is a feature request, but I don’t know if its in Jbid already… does JBid allow you to enter some search credntials that it will monitor ebays for, and if new matches appear it will notify you? Eg:

If I type in “brisbane coin fair” on ebay.com.au website, it will bring up 3 items currently. I am not interested in those items (too high a price or already have them) but there might be other “brisbane coin fair” coins in the future on ebay I might be interested in. So could Jbid sort of, monitor ebay for these items and if a new one appears it will notify me either by email or on screen popup/ballon popup?

JBidwatcher already has a search feature. you create the search, enable it, then select how often you want the search to be performed. results are then automatically added to your list of auctions.

So any comments on the menus and screen not updating in 2b11? Has this occured anytime in previous versions?

And on the searching feature, when I create a search and put the words “brisbane coin fair” like I put in the search box at ebay, it comes up with about 20 or so results in the ‘current’ tab. If I went to ebay.com.au and searched “brisbane coin fair”, i only get 3 results.
Is Jbid searching more than just ebay.com.au for its results?
The other thing that I don’t like about this feature is that I have no say in what I want added to the ‘current’ tab. I only have three tabs: current, complete and selling. I basically use the current tab as my ebay watching tab and sniping. Complete is for completed items and selling i rarely use.

It would be neat if:
1. you could tell jbid: “only search ebay.x.y” for results (or a list of ebay.x.y)
2. after it searches, you could browse the results and select which items to add to a particular tab (in my case, ‘current’ tab).
3. results that you don’t select could have an option “don’t show me this result again” so future searches won’t bring up items you are not interested in.

PS: I have also now downloaded the Java Binary and ran that on my system and it too has corrupted menus and widgets that don’t update. I usualy use the windows .exe (not the installer) and up until 2b11 everything has been fine. Is it possible Windows update could have caused problems? What version of Java do I required for 2b11?

I have lots of of app redrawing issues as well. I get blank sections in the auction listings page, blank rows, rows which flash to a different item each time they are highlighted, columns flickering on and off, etc.

Rebooting, restarting the app, etc. only help some of the time. The behaviour starts again within a few minutes anyway…

yeah i just reloaded jbid today and i have redraw issues again. ??
