I hopefully downloaded the beta 10 : my bid was not accepted, Beta 11 didn’t work either.
Even when bidding via browser, the beta doesn’t show I succesfully did, showing a red bid with a little star in front of it.

PS: when bidding to an object, that has higher bids by someone else,it seems to work … if I am or could be the highest bidder it doesn’t

It’s frustrating, because it is working for some users. I haven’t figured out what differentiates working from non-working yet, though.

It’s also problematic because I don’t have (and can’t create) a ebay.de account to test with, so I usually have to take a good guess as to what will work, and push it out to a few beta testers, get their log files back, and try again… The debug cycle is pretty big. :(

I know it sucks and doesn’t do the right thing, but any info you can provide would be helpful. What is the error message (and page, if it says ‘show last error’) that comes back? Can you go to the bug reporting page, and upload the logs from your bid attempts?

I can’t bid to a bid only available to Germany and whole Europe (not USA/ Canada).
With B10, just 1 minute after downloading, it worked. When you released B11, I tried both 10 & 11 and it stopped to work.
I’m now the highest bidder, but JBidwather tell me (I tried also to reload it) that the highest bidder is the previous bidder (?).

So, I don’t think you need a ebay.de account, just an auction not available on ebay.com, but available on .de.

I made the same experience like Frank P. with beta 11.
I checked the last error after sniping and i saw that JBW tried to connect to ebay.co.uk instead of ebay.de found in the preferences. Same behaviour when i try to bid.
I will recheck beta 10 and will upload the logs.

Today I tried to get a few items from ebay germany, and it miserably failed (beta 11). What I noticed was that the site itself indicated like 22 secs to go while the countdown in jbidw was at +40 secs. obviously the snipe was only made after the auction had already ended :-\
