Task bar icon disappearing

About once a day, when I mouse over the JBidwatcher icon on my taskbar, the icon disappears. I then have to restart the program. Not a HUGE problem, except when I’ve got snipes in place and my hubby manages to mouse over and close the program. |

I’m 99% sure this is a bug in Windows because I’ve seen this with other applications – particularly Microsoft Outlook. When an application exits (or is killed by the OS) it should have it’s icon removed from the system tray but sometimes that doesn’t happen. This is confusing because it makes it look accessible when it’s not. Moving the mouse over the system tray causes the OS to refresh the tray contents and no longer display it. So the real question is: why has JBW stopped running? You can check the various JBW/OS logs to see if there’s a problem but to be honest I’d probably start by asking your hubby if he’s deliberately closing it down because “you’re not using the computer any more”... :) |
